The rooms are old but they are clean. We are only staying for one night so we didn't check out the amenities in the room. It was warm in the room even though its cold outside. We left the window slightly opened to keep some fresh air for the night. It got a bit noisy with people talking loud on the streets in the middle of the night. Too tired to close the window due to jetlag and just slept through it as the noise died down from the street after a while. The location is great, within minutes of walk to restaurants, shopping and Duomo di Milano. Breakfast included and you can pick what you want and the servers will place the food onto plates and cups for you to bring back to your own table. There are a variety of sweet cakes, croissant, yogurts, fruits, eggs/ham. Staff are polite.

Very good accomodation, clean room, good service. Internet that works in a sufficient way. It is very important that it is near Duomo and there is a metro station right in front of it (San Babilo).I would recommend it either for a single person or a family!

From the moment we walked in we were greeted, actually no, there is no greeting. It was like we were interrupting. We were told to sign a document then treated like we were being difficult when we wanted to know what we were signing. I had sent 2 emails earlier this day requesting best direction to the hotel. I got a response a week after our stay explaining-unbelievably poor communication. We were not given details of the location or local sites. The hotel was possibly furnished and decorated B.C. The only reason for the second star is the location is convenient. I would not stay here again. The homeless people around the hotel appeared happier than us!

What I love about the hotel is the location, can't be better with affordable price. I could walk to Duomo di Milano in the middle of the night and in the early morning when there were very few people. I think the hotel should mention private parking with a fee or parking next door, it will attract those tourists who visit Milan by cars, like us.

***AVOID AVOID AVOID*** Press the back button on your browser and do not book this place. Upon entering the lobby, the overwhelming stench of decades of Marlboro hit our lungs like a serious case of tuberculosis. Reception staff made us feel as welcome as a fungal foot infection. The decor of the room was quite something. Think 1960's kitsch. In fact, that was probably the last time any maintenance was done at this place. Clothes never travel particularly well so attempted to use the trouser press. Broken. Trek down to explain to reception staff. Shoulder shrug in response. Asked if there was an iron I could use. Staff member furiously shook her head. Apparently I'm not safe to use such an implement, who knew? Asked if someone could fix said trouser press. No. Thanks for all your help guys. Received a call to the room an hour later from reception staff after we had strongly complained to the booking site we had used for our reservation about lack of facilities. Reception offered a key to another room to try their trouser press but by this time we had chosen another outfit and were about to leave for dinner. Too little, too late I'm afraid. 1 working plug socket in whole room. Yes, ONE. Caution: May cause family relationship breakdown. Breakfast time was woeful. Felt like a child in Oliver Twist, begging for a croissant and watery eggs. The copious rows of street sleepers directly outside the hotel definitely slept better than us. In fact, I'm tempted to believe that they were tourists who had been unfortunate to spend a night at Hotel Galileo and decided to cut their losses. Book this place at your peril.
